|||||||
|
Through the combined efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and its sponsoring members an award winning County booth was created for the 100th Kentucky State Fair. This years theme “Natural Inviting” depicted the Halfway Store and its “See Rock City” roof sign. This once common advertisement is slowing disappearing and there reported to be only two remaining roof signs. The award, presented by Farm Bureau, signified the efforts of the Allen County group as Best of Show. |

Both businesses will have access to US 231 at the new signalized intersection of Burnley Road, Bowling Green Road (US3241) and US 231. With construction of the new US 231 nearing completion, the western side the City should see continued development as local businesses try to capture rural customers from west Allen County and east Warren County. |
