THE SCOTTSVILLE-ALLEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION IS A JOINT PLANNING COMMISSION FORMED UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE KENTUCKY REVISED STATUS, CHAPTER 100 - PLANNING AND ZONING*. THE PLANNING COMMISSION OFFICE IS LOCATED IN THE BASEMENT OF THE CITY-COUNTY BUILDING, 201 WEST MAIN STREET, SCOTTSVILLE, KENTUCKY, AND IS OPEN MONDAY - FRIDAY FROM 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM. THIS OFFICE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
Approval and filing of minor subdivision plats (see Subdivision Development):
Public Hearing, review and filing of major subdivision plats (see Subdivision Development):
Provide additional services to the community and local government to include:

Comprehensive Plan Update 2003/2004 |

During the fall of 2002 the Comprehensive Plan Update Committee has completed a Vision Statement along with Goals and Objectives for the Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Commission, after holding a public hearing on Monday, September 16, 2002, approved the document and has forwarded it to the City and County for Public Hearings and adoption which has been completed.
